Powder Orange Isopods (Porcellionides pruinosus) are a medium-sized isopod that thrive in the leaf litter of tropical vivariums. These isopods are among the fastest producing of the available isopods and quickly provide an additional food source in the terrarium. They participate as a clean-up crew, breaking down waste and decaying plant matter. At Tinc Tank, we feed our isopods a variety of fish foods and dried shrimp 1-2x a week with oyster shells provided as a calcium source so these terrestrial crustaceans can develop healthy, calcium-rich exoskeletons. ABG mix plus plenty of litter is the preferred substrate for isopods.
