Terrarium: A 20 gallon aquarium or an 18x18x18 front opening terrarium is the minimum enclosure size for 1-3 frogs.
Temperature: Dendrobates tinctorius 'Yellowback' prefer temperatures between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures over 85 degrees are dangerous.
Humidity: 70-90% humidity is ideal. Although these are tropical animals that appreciate a high humidity, good air flow is critical for the health of the animals.
Size: On average, female Dendrobates tinctorius 'Yellowback' grow to be around 2.5 inches long with males slightly smaller at around 2 inches at maturity.
Age: Dendrobates tinctorius 'Yellowback' for sale from Tinc Tank are well started juveniles at 2-3 months old out of water.
Diet: Dart frogs are microphagous meaning they eat very small prey. The dart frogs at Tinc Tank are fed a staple diet of flightless fruit flies dusted at every feeding with either Repashy Calcium Plus or Dendrocare on a rotating basis.
